Trisha McCauley will feature in a prime time UK TV bingo commercial for the next 8 months. The TV commercials will be broadcast during every episode of the popular UK soap, Emerdale Farm. Trisha simply could not believe her lick when she was selected to be featured in the Tombola advert.
Actual Tombola Bingo players were chosen to audition for the commercial. Trisha made an instant impact as her audition included everything from dancing to kite flying. Ask you can imagine Trisha was delighted .

‘I never imagined anything like this was going to happen,’ said Trisha.

‘I enjoy playing online bingo and one day I decided to fill out an application form on a website, and I thought that would be it.

‘Then they called me up and asked me to come and audition in London – it was absolutely amazing.’

Tombola Bingo chose 25 players for three days of fly-on-the-wall documentary style filming in April.

They were taken to various locations, including Rye town centre, Camber Sands beach and London, and given the chance to enjoy pottery making, horse riding and a specially-made Victorian fun fair.

But after the shooting of the adverts was over no-one thought to tell Trisha when they would be appear on the television.

Trisha said: ‘I was talking on the phone in my house one evening when I suddenly realised I was on TV!

‘It was totally unexpected and caught me by surprise, but I ended up really liking them.’

And having made some friends for life Trisha said she was amazed by how natural it had felt.

‘The whole experience was unlike anything I’ve ever done before, or probably will do again, and I’m just really grateful for the chance they gave me,’ she said.

Head of marketing at, Dawn Clayton, said: ‘Everyone had such a great time over the three day shoot – it felt more like a mini tombola holiday as players just had fun and we filmed them having a laugh together.

‘We think the warmth and fun they had together comes across brilliantly and it really reflects what is all about.’
